The Capital Markets update is divided into three main areas, Volati, Salix Group and Bokusgruppen. Each area consists of a presentation followed by a brief discussion. At the end, Volati’s Management Program is presented and a summary of the day. For international investors, please note that an English translation can be accessed through the menu bar of the media player.
Volati's Chairman of the Board Patrik Wahlén begins with news from Volati: A distribution of Bokusgruppen to Volati's ordinary shareholders is being evaluated, Salix Group has gained increased autonomy and Volati will focus more on acquisitions under the leadership of incoming CEO Andreas Stenbäck who will leave his role as CFO on 1st of May 2021.
CEO Andreas Stenbäck reports on Volati's historical development and states that for 18 years the company has successfully created shareholder value, not least through significant growth. Andreas presents Volati’s value creation model and highlights a few examples of how Volati creates value through acquisitions, organic growth and by reinvesting cash flows. Andreas then states that after a possible separate listing of Bokusgruppen, Volati stands strong with good underlying growth in the Salix Group and Industry business areas and sees good conditions for accelerating the acquisitions.
Håkan Karlström, CEO of Salix Group, states that there are many acquisition opportunities. Salix Group has a strong track record of successful add-on acquisitions. We have a well-proven method for identifying, evaluating, and implementing acquisitions and then successfully extracting synergies, says Håkan Karlström.
Maria Edsman, CEO of Bokusgruppen, gives a longer presentation. This is in light of the fact that Volati's Board of Directors in February commissioned Volati's management to evaluate a possible distribution of Volati's shares in, and listing of, Bokusgruppen.
Bokusgruppen has a clear plan for increased growth in digital channels through continued investments. Bokusgruppen's market share in e-commerce increased in 2020 and in total digital channels accounted for 44 percent of sales. The company sees significant digital potential with its 44 million online visits per year and 2 million members in its loyalty program.
Patrik Wahlén and Andreas Stenbäck conclude the Capital Markets update with a summary of the day.
